Annual Gynecologic Exam
Recommended every year for all women over 18, the annual exam helps to establish and maintain your doctor-patient relationship. By focusing on health, wellness and prevention of disease, annual exams help you minimize risks and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Annual exams also provide the opportunity to discuss reproductive health concerns including menstrual irregularities, birth control options and prevention of STDs. These visits also reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy, pelvic infections, and certain forms of cancer (cervical, ovarian, and breast). If you’re overdue, call us today!
We offer comprehensive evaluation and treatment of a variety of pelvic floor disorders. We specialize in pelvic pain, painful intercourse, utero-vaginal prolapse, urinary incontinence, and overactive bladder. Following an initial consultation, you may have testing performed in the comfort of our compassionate and caring office setting. After diagnosis, we will partner with you to create a personalized treatment plan that may include conservative, medical, minimally-invasive, or advanced surgical options. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please book an appointment to discuss.
Endometriosis is a chronic condition that affects reproductive age women (6-10%), including those with infertility (20–50%) and chronic pelvic pain (71-87%). Common symptoms include pain with intercourse, menstruation, and bowel movements. The diagnosis can only be made surgically. Hormonal and non-hormonal medical treatments are recommended to improve pain and slow disease progression. Laparoscopic surgery is needed to remove adhesions and superficial disease. However, DaVinci robotics is typically used to remove extensive pelvic disease, scar tissue and deeper implants of endometriosis.
Women age 46-51 transition into menopause as ovarian function slows down. These years are marked by a gradual decline in estrogen levels, resulting in a variety of vasomotor and genitourinary symptoms. Hot flushes and night sweats (75%) are characterized by a sudden sensation of heat in the face, neck, and chest lasting 1-5 minutes. Some women also experience anxiety, heart palpitations, and insomnia. Vulvovaginal atrophy (10-40%) is a progressive condition associated with dryness, itching, and painful intercourse. Treatment is individualized, based on the symptoms and risk–benefit ratio.
Infertility is defined as the inability to achieve pregnancy after 12m of regular unprotected sexual intercourse. It may be caused by female or male factors. We offer a comprehensive evaluation including hormone testing, semen analysis, ultrasound, and endometrial sampling. Based these results, hysteroscopy and/or laparoscopy may also be recommended. Treatment options may include conservative (lifestyle changes) or medical (ovulation induction). We also offer in-office intrauterine insemination (IUI) using either fresh or frozen (donor) sperm. If you need help, schedule a consultation.
Heavy Menstrual Bleeding
Defined as menstrual flow lasting > 7 days, often with quarter-sized clots, or soaking through multiple tampons/pads over several hours. It is not normal. It can disrupt your life and may be a sign of a more serious health problem. It may be caused by ovulation disorders, polyps, fibroids, endometriosis, bleeding disorders, cancer. One in three women seek treatment. We offer a comprehensive in-office workup and a full spectrum of treatment options including medication (pills, injections, or IUD), office procedures (hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation) or outpatient surgery (hysterectomy).
Hands-on techniques used to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness or injury. OMT can treat structural and tissue abnormalities, relieve joint restriction and misalignment, restore muscle and tissue balance, increase mobility, and promote healing by increasing blood flow throughout the entire body. In addition to easing pain, OMT can treat other health problems such as asthma, sinus disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, migraines, and menstrual pain. When appropriate, OMT can complement or replace drugs or surgery. In this way, OMT brings an important dimension to standard medical care
DaVinci Robotic-Assisted Surgery
Gynecologic conditions such as pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids, heavy periods, prolapse, and cancer may require medical care. When lifestyle changes or medical treatment don’t ease your symptoms, surgery may be indicated. Using da Vinci technology, surgery is performed using tiny instruments through small incisions. A camera provides a high-definition, 3D magnified view. Every hand movement is translated in real time to bend and rotate the instruments with precision. Published studies suggest patients may have fewer complications and shorter hospital stays when having da Vinci surgery.
Intrauterine Device (IUD)
The IUD is a reversible form of birth control made of soft, flexible plastic. It is inserted into the uterus by a healthcare provider during a office visit. All 5 types of IUDs are >99% effective at preventing pregnancy. Paragard (10 years) is a copper-based IUD that is 100% hormone free. Liletta (6 years) and Mirena (5 years) contain 52mg levonorgestrel, which gives them several advantages, including the ability to significantly decrease menstrual blood loss and improve dysmenorrhea. To determine which IUD is right for you, book an appointment to discuss with one of our providers.
Nexplanon is a single-rod implant placed discreetly under the skin of the inner, non-dominant upper arm by your healthcare provider. It is made of soft, flexible plastic and measures 4cm in length by 2mm in diameter. Nexplanon (etonogestrel 68mg) prevents pregnancy for up to 3 years without any daily, weekly, or monthly dosing. By suppressing ovulation, thickening the cervical mucus, and altering the endometrial lining, it is the most effective method of reversible contraception, with a pregnancy rate of 0.05%. If interested, simply book an appointment with one of our providers to discuss.

These tests will provide the necessary information to properly and fully diagnose the cause and nature of your incontinence to aid in the selection of the most appropriate treatment.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has recognized the health benefits of newborn male circumcision, including reducing the risk of penile cancer and STDs. We offer this office procedure for infants up to 30 days old.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
